Audit: Periodically assess the policies/procedures to ensure they are comprehensive, complete, current,and implemented. Full facility practice drills should be completed regularly.

Police shot and killed a man who claimed he had a weapon inside a Florida hospital.The unidentified man was transported to the hospital early in the morning with a medical condition, according to the police. At some point, the man told staff he had a gun, and he would shoot anyone who came near him. When officers approached,the subject made aggressive movements, and officers fired. The police chief said crisis negotiators attempted to get the man to surrender peacefully, but that did not happen.
